The first of hopefully many. Every day in Hawaii plastic trash washes up on our once pristine beaches. This is a fishing buoy, once attached to a large net used to scoop up marine animals of every kind. They are quite a common thing to find after onshore winds. I have many, most just sitting around the yard, a daily reminder of the polluted ocean we now live with. My idea of painting might be a good way to give these buoys a second life. Now it is a recycled buoy, no longer trash on a beach, but artwork in someones house.
