Description

The Santa Cruz Harbor is situated in Santa Cruz, California, on the site of the former Woods Lagoon. Built in 1962 – 1963, the harbor straddles the city limits which runs down the center of Arana Gulch; the west side of the harbor is in Santa Cruz’s Seabright neighborhood while the east is in unincorporated Santa Cruz County. The Walton Lighthouse was added while I lived in the neighborhood and instantly became an icon of the midtown area. I spent many a day in and around this this area, surfing a couple spots on this beach, partying at the Crowsnest and sailing out beyond the breakwall with my friends. I would often park my funky RV here and spend the entire day at the beach. This drawing was done in the comfort of my RV, warm and cozy, looking out the big windows as the fog drifted in. This 8 inch by 8 inch print comes in a 12 inch by 12 inch black mat ready for framing.
